Two-way traceability
Government Functional Standard, GovS 002: Project delivery; portfolio, programme and project management, Version: 2.0, published on 15 July 2021 by HM Government, defines two-way traceability as: ‘The ability to trace both forward and backward (for example, from requirement to an element of the solution and from the solution element back to requirement). It can also be applied in other areas, such as to output-outcome-benefits mapping, and solution-plan mapping.’
